This powerful bull combines two of the most prolific bulls in Red Brangus in his pedigree. Paternally he is a 1/2 brother to Cox Excalibur's Two Time Grand Champion Bull Powerman. Maternally he is 1/2 brother to another Cox Bull, Paymaster 54/J. This bull is recognized as one of the best bulls in the breed. This is the type of bull that will help any cow you breed him to. He has all the tangibles that all cattlemen need, length, depth, muscle, bone, eye appeal and natural thickness. Watch for his progeny at the major shows over the next several years.

Herd Sire Prospect that is the son of the great Paymaster 54/J (pictured on our Herd Sire page). This Bull's dam is a highly fertile and productive 1/2 blood cow who produces as well as any cow we own. He strikes you immediately as a big growthy bull. He is muscular with a sturdy foundation. We are impressed with his Tremendous natural thickness and eye appeal. He is a long-bodied deep built bull that we believe will complement many different types of cows. We are breeding him to some heifers this summer for Spring 06 calves. We will also be showing this bull in the Houston Livestock Show in March 06. Take a look, this is the type of bull that we think will move any registered breeder in a positive direction.

54/J

CX Paymaster 54J may be the most complete 1/4 blood Red Brangus bull ever produced. He was the best calf in his contemporary group from birth to yearling. This is a rare occurrence and demonstrates the quality and depth of his genetics. Paymaster is a son of Leachman Red Top 54D, the outstanding Red Angus bull that won the Midland bull test competitiion.

The dam of Paymaster is Lady Excalibur “33” 381/9. She is a daughter of Masterpiece out of the great half-blood cow, Miss Korina 33/8. Masterpiece was a 77/5 grandson that is one of the most balanced half-blood Red Brangus bulls ever produced. Miss Korina 33/8 was the most productive cow in the breed in the decade of the eighties. She produced over sixty sons and daughters. Her sons included Superstar and Hummer. Two flushmate daughters once won Grand and Reserve Champion female in Houston on the same day.

CX Paymaster got his outstanding genetics from proven family members, but he has the potential to surpass all of his ancestors. He is extremely long and thick. He is as clean as most Angus bulls and his balance is near perfect. Paymaster had a 205 day weight of 725 lbs. This is a bull to use for breeders with cows needing more balance, less frame, or more performance.
